EASEE-gas’ Message and Workflow Design Working Group elects new chair
Jarle Rønnevik (Equinor), chair of the Message and Workflow Design Working Group (MWDWG) since 2014, has decided to step down from his role. He passes the torch to Oliver Schirok from VNG Handel & Vertrieb GmbH.
The MWDWG analyses business requirements and transcribes them into message content or application definitions, including modifications and enhancements of the existing Edig@s messages.
Jarle played a key role in the development of version six of Edig@s contributing to the improvement of the harmonisation of message exchange on the gas market. Fortunately, the working group will continue to benefit of Jarle’s expertise as he remains part of the group.
His successor, Oliver Schirok, has been working in the area of data exchange, system architecture and interfaces in the gas business for more than 12 years now. He has been a member of the Edig@s Working Group since 2009 and chair of the Gas Role Model Taskforce since 2017, taking part in additional taskforces focused on the development of the Edig@s message format. He is also a member of the Message Design Working Group set up by the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water.
The EASEE-gas Board thanks Jarle for his valuable contribution as chair of the working group and wishes Oliver every success in his new role.
